

Executive Director​
Location: Yerevan, Armenia
Reports to: AmCham Board of Directors

Description
​
The Executive Director of AmCham Armenia will serve as the chief executive officer, responsible for leading the organization’s strategic direction, advocacy efforts, and daily operations. This role involves high-level engagement with government bodies, international partners, and the business community to promote a favorable business environment and support AmCham members.

Responsibilities
​
The Executive Director will be responsible for:

Providing effective communication and representing AmCham on behalf of its members in front of the RA Government, U.S. Government, international and diplomatic community in Armenia, wider business community, AmCham network worldwide, etc.;

Ensuring smooth operation of AmCham office;

Developing an annual AmCham Public Relations/Communications strategy, Events timetable and overseeing its implementation;

Developing AmCham advocacy agenda based on consultations with its members, Board of Directors, and external parties;
-
Developing AmCham’s budget and overseeing its accurate implementation;
-
Overseeing PR and marketing, media relations, and human resources functions;
-
Maintaining strategic alliances with international organizations operating in Armenia;

Diversifying funding sources of AmCham by cooperating with member companies and international donor institutions operating in Armenia around joint projects;
-
Ensuring that AmCham maintains a strong customer-service focus and is responsive to members’ needs;

Implementing strong member engagement mechanisms;

Representing AmCham on various working groups and committees;
-
Hosting and cooperating with U.S. governmental missions to Armenia;
-
Serving as an Editor-in-Chief for all AmCham publications and the website. Overseeing the publication of AmCham Business Magazine, and Monthly Newsletter;

Acting as liaison between AmCham member companies and foreign businesses/potential investors.

Reporting to the Board of Directors on regular basis

Implementing other tasks, as assigned by the Board of Directors.

Requirements
​

Master’s degree in business, economics, public policy, and related fields;

At least 5 years of managerial experience in business, international, non-profit or public organizations;
-
Fluency in Armenian and English (other languages are an asset);
-
Understanding of business environment in Armenia;

Developed advocacy skills;
-
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, teamwork and coordination skills;

Decision-making and problem-solving abilities;
-
Experience in fundraising and/or lobbying is a plus.
